The Spanish League (ACB) officially confirmed today that Gipuzkoa and Burgos will play next seasonin the Liga Endesa competition, after both clubs met the reqquirements for promotion after winning the right to be in the top competition for their sports performance on the court in the Spanish second division last season. The promotion of both Gipuzkoa (who returns to the ACB) and Burgos means that Manresa and Betis Sevilla will be relegated to the LEB competition (Federation-run second division in Spain).

As reminder, the ACB softened the access conditions from promoting teams, reducing fee from 4,7 M euros to 1,6 to be paid in four annual installments. Other requirement for clubs to join the ACB from LEB was a mandatory minimum budget of 2 M euros. Now, after both Burgos and Gipuzkoa met these requirements, they are officially members of the Liga Endesa for thee 2017-18 season.
