The Assembly of the Lithuanian League (LKL) took place in the country capital, Vilnius. Regarding licenses, the highest governing body of the LKL, the General Assembly, did not approve the requests of Prienai and Lietkabelis to transfer LKL participant licenses to new legal entities. The decision could only be taken by a majority of the votes cast. However, Prienai Basketball Club and UAB Krepsinio klubas "Lietkabelis", in order to change the legal unit, should carry out the reorganization of their existing organization in accordance with the procedure provided for in the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania.

LKL clubs approved the amendments and supplements to the LKL regulations regarding the security of the LKL games and the responsibility. In most cases, the responsibility and sanctions for fan-induced incidents (use of pyrotechnics, uncensored scandals) will now involve the club whose fans have violated the rules.

Also on the table was the championship format. The intention of the LKL Board to increase the number of teams participating in the competition from the current 10 to 12 in the 2020-2021 season was discussed and talks will continue in further meetings.
