The ULEB General Assembly unanimously approved the membership requests by Swiss Basketball League and Korisliiga.

The addition of the two new leagues will allow ULEB to further focus on its purpose i.e. to voice the common interests of the professional basketball leagues in Europe and to protect the national competitions run by its member domestic leagues.

ULEB President Tomas Van Den Spiegel: “We are very excited to add two new leagues as members to the ULEB family. At a time where European basketball is in need of unity, this expansion allows us to collaborate even further with all stakeholders, for the present and the future”.

Swiss Basketball League Secretary General Erik Lehmann: “We are happy that Swiss Basketball is part of the ULEB again. We are convinced that the unification of the leagues helps the Basketball in all countries to grow and become even more important in Europe and in the World”.

Korisliiga President Timo Elo: “Basketball Finland is an active member of the international basketball family. It’s a way to gain knowledge, improve and measure yourself on every level. We are looking forward to co-operation, learning from one another and further contributing to the development of our game”.
