Just hours after announcing the season was cancelled due to players' strike, the League and the union reached an Memorandum of Understanding which has allowed the League to announce the championship will rsume on Sunday with the last leg of the reguñlar season and the playoffs will start on Tuesday. The Final 4 of the national championship, as previously scheduled. This is the note issued by the BSL:

"The Winner League is back in action. The board of directors of the league approved on Friday the memorandum of understanding reached with the players' organization during the night. The regular season will end on Sunday, when all games will be held at 20:45 and broadcast on SPORT5.

The League is happy for the players to return to the arenas and hopes to end a fascinating season. The manager shares the distress caused to basketball fans following the events of last week and calls on basketball and sports fans to fill the halls and show support for the sport we all love, in teams and players. The chairman thanks the sports minister, Mrs. Miri Regev, and the director general of her office, Yossi Sharabi, to the chairman of the Histadrut, Avi Nissenkorn, MK Mickey Zohar and all those who helped solve the disputes with the players' organization.

The playoff quarterfinals will be held in the best-of-5 format starting this Tuesday. The series of 1st place against 8th place and places 4 against 5 will be played on 29.5, 31.5, 2.6, 4.6 and 7.6. The series 2 vs 7 and 3 vs. 6 will be played on 30.5, 1.6, 3.6, 5.6 and 7.6. The Final Four remains at the original dates: June 11 and 14.

In the coming season, 2018/19, "Israeli law" will continue in force, according to which each team is obliged to have two Israeli players at any given moment on the court, with up to six foreigners registered on the game form. Any team that registers four foreign players and downwards throughout the season will win a financial grant from the League, while a team that registers six foreigners will pay a sum which will be divided between the teams that will register only four foreigners or less.

In addition, it was decided to establish a joint committee under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports, which will begin operating immediately at the end of the current season and will work until August 1. If no joint agreements are reached, in the 2019/20 season the teams will be able to register up to five foreigners on the game form, and in any case they will not be able to have them all of them on the court simultaneously. A club that registers three foreigners down during the season will receive a bonus, while a team that registers five foreigners will be charged a fee".
