The French League LNB announced it has granted the labels to 18 clubs (1 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze). The Label club was created in the 2013-14 season. This voluntary scheme aims to enhance the structuring and professionalisation of professional clubs based on a set of specifications distinguishing four major categories considered as structuring elements of a club. The different categories evaluated are:

1. Governance, Administration, Finance, rating the salary structuring of the club, its legal structure and its financial health. This section is also interested in the social and environmental responsibility of clubs.

2. Marketing, Commercial, and Communication, important to develop stable revenue to the club in the face of the uncertainty of the sporting result. The commercial aspects (number and structuring of partnerships), communication (Brand Club, images and videos, social networks) and Merchandising (Shop products, marketing ...) are rated here.

3. Sports and Medical. It tends to promote the technical and medical staff of the club, as well as the organization of the sports workforce and training, particularly in terms of continuity

4. Equipment, Operations and Arena Management. This section gives value to clubs whose equipment meets the requirements of professional sports towards the media, sports delegations, the various audiences (spectators, partners) and allows clubs to reinforce their model of exploitation.

To LNB President Alain Béral, President of the LNB "clubs commit themselves more every year in the Label approach. Thus, the different labels awarded are an important distinction to evaluate their level of development. But the specifications of the Label Club had to evolve and the work of the commissions during the Strategic Plan drew the new outlines for all the clubs to enter, with the Label being a structuring element of their development".
